Hamass exiled deputy leader said on Thursday the terrorist group could be forced to negotiate directly with Israel, ahead of planned talks in Cairo to consolidate a truce.
But an Israeli minister dismissed any possibility of talking directly with the Islamist movement, whose charter calls for the destruction of the Jewish state and glorifies killing Jews as a holy duty.

The ONLY reason that Hamas would enter into ANY agreement, would be for some advantage that strengthens its ability to eradicate Israel. Hamas to Israel is like The Brain to the world (of Pinky and the Brain).
How many U.S. presidents and how many Israeli PMs have tried to “solve” the anti-Israel, anti-West movement of the radical Islamio-fascists?? Who is kidding who with such token actions and suggestions?
There has always been only one solution, and it remains so today.
I would never engage in dialogue with anyone who threatened to kill my children.
Hamas is openly and self-admittedly at war with Israel. Any talks they have would only be to save their lives and preserve themselves to fight another day.
Israel should not talk to this generation of Hamas leaders. They all have Israeli blood on their hands. They have Palestinian blood on their hands too. Any arab who wants peace with Israel is murdered in broad daylight in front of his family.
There won’t be any other force among the Palestinians to talk to as long as Hamas exists. They have to be destroyed to the last man if any other force among the Palestinians is ever to have a chance of survival.
Exactly right!
Hamas will compromise. The Israelis only need swim ten miles out into the Mediterranean.
Any “generation of Hamas leaders” cannot be talked with. The name “Hamas” means “violence”.
