Dear Lord,
as my life declines
and my energies decrease,
more than ever hold me by Your Power,
that I may not offend You,
but daily increase in Your Love.
Give me strength to work in Your Service
till the last day of my life.
Help me to ever have
an increasing dread of venial sin,
or whatever would cause
the slightest withdrawal of Your love,
all day long,
and at night keep me close to Your Heart;
and should I die, ere the morning breaks,
may I go rejoicing in that vision
of Your entrancing beauty,
never to be separated from You.
Amen.
Thank you for that lovely prayer, Salvation. God bless you and yours.
Wait until the death panels get really rolling. Going to have to be damned nimble to stay alive if you are over 70.
dear trisham,
being older also means that you have survived Southeast Asia, and The Cold War!!
And disco! :)
Not when there were 80 million “Baby Boomers” supporting them in the 80’s & 90’s. Let the good times roll and kick the can down the road!
Will kill those suckas off with Obamacare!

Dear Salvation, My earthly Father died in July, 2014. He was 83. He taught me good work ethic, respect and most of all the Word of God and his love of Christ. Also how to fish. I’m a girl. At his memorial every hymn sung was from his portfolio of hymns he sang in Church as a Deacon over the many decades. He told stories all his life about his Love of God and his belief in Christ the The Eternal Redemptor. The last song sung for my Dad was “This Is My Story” by Fanny J. Crosby, 1873. I wept. He will be missed.
