More sloppy media. They have since updated the article to say that he was sentenced in 1991 for murder and released in 2003 (which would be 11 years) but the title and article still claims that he spent 17 years in prison.

Also, the title only mentions that he's accused of taking the money... when in reality there was also a burglary.

11 years sounds more reasonable for murder. He must have had a life sentence.

Kenricks was involved in a “botched” robbery that saw his friend get shot in the head? So apparently the targeted victim wasted Kendricks accomplice.

Note the way the urinalist tries to obscure how the mark took out one of his attackers.
