The deadline passed late Wednesday without an appeal from Attorney General Pam Bondi's office of a Broward circuit court ruling in August that Florida's gay marriage ban is unconstitutional....

....Bondi did file appeals Thursday in two federal lawsuits brought by nine same-sex couples, the Broward case could pave the way for Florida's first same-sex divorce — and even its first same-sex marriages.

...Broward County Clerk Howard Forman said he expects to decide by early next week whether to issue marriage licenses to same-sex couples...

....Bondi's office offered a terse comment as to why the attorney general did not appeal the Brassner and Simpson decisions: "We were not parties to those cases," Bondi spokeswoman Jennifer Meale said.

Florida should pass another law banning gay marriage. Just make a few changes in the wording. If a judge strikes it down, just pass another law. Never give up. This is the strategy of the queers.

I understand she is a pretty useless “Republican” and has much company in FL.

Bondi as useless is an understatement. She sold out the state with a sweetheart deal to the banks in the forclosure scandal and has only seemed to be trying to find ways to worm her way to a senate seat.

Some other FL circuit decided that fl can not recognize another state’s marriage for divorce purposes. The flsc just reject taking the case until all appeals are exhausted.

We are witnessing total capitulation to the petulant whinings of people who were rightly classified - just a few short years back - as mentally ill.

I missed that case. Can you help me out some more? The Broward clerk appears to think this non-appeal from AG Bondi basically paves the way for him to re-write the Florida constitution.

Broward country, where I live, is a lib-tard d-rat cesspool of a sewer. It’s the home of dws, and now I have alcee hastings, the impeached one as my “rep”.

In 2004, kerry edwards signs were EVERYWHERE!

Yeah, I’m UNREPRESENTED! Otherwise nice place to live though. Can’t wait to open all the windows soon.

I believe there are only 12 or 13 Republican state attorneys general, and some aren’t helpful at all.
