During your 30-minute conversation with the “census taker”, I hope to God that you didn’t give him your Social Security number. If you did, then you may be totally screwed. That and your name are all “they” need to steal your identity and clean you out.
Not to worry. I got ID frauded about 12 years ago. All they needed was my name and address from the phone book.
They made a phony check and wrote it to a Walmart in Charlotte. The police called me and asked me if I wrote it.
I told him I've never been there in my life and had no account in that bank. Filled out an affidavit of fraud.
