The Islamic State and the other advocates of sharia law are growing rapidly, along with their zeal to eradicate or convert all “infidels.” For those who are asleep at the wheel, in the opinion of these fanatics, most of Western civilization — including America — fits into the infidel category.
I normally encourage conversation and compromise where possible, but how does one negotiate or compromise with someone who desires your elimination? Maybe if you meet some of their demands, they will only dismember you or kill you more slowly.
Obviously, the expansion of groups such as the Islamic State represents an existential threat to our own nation and our way of life. If ever there was a time to work together for self-preservation, it is now. There really is no time to squabble about who was right and who was wrong regarding our activities in the Middle East. Our enemies will use every opportunity to divide and distract us, which will make their job of destroying us much easier.
In order to prevail in the war on terror, we must have an overall strategy, the goal of which is annihilation of the terrorists, as opposed to simply winning battles with them here and there. This means paying much more attention to military preparedness, both offensive and defensive. That means significantly increasing our covert operations, without blabbing to the world about what we will or will not do. It means cultivating strong and trusting relationships with our allies and never leaving them to worry about abandonment for political reasons. It means helping other countries in the region to realize that they, too, will soon be targets of the Islamic State, which will radically alter their comfortable lives.
When it comes to the elimination of those trying to destroy us, we have to be smart enough to realize that we must have airtight borders to prevent easy access for terrorists. Some say this is too difficult. I guarantee that it is easier than trying to rebuild a nation that has been destroyed because we thought logical defense was too hard. There is no question that unpleasantries brought about by our own forces will be necessary to accomplish our goals and defeat terrorism, but you cannot win a politically correct war.
Our enemies’ desire to establish a caliphate is no joke. Their convert-or-die doctrine parallels some of the social philosophies enforced by the political-correctness police in this country. Either you accept their interpretation of what is moral and correct, or the name-calling starts, and they attempt to destroy your business or reputation.
We despise the Islamic State but do not see the same ugliness in our own tactics. The truth hurts, and it is much easier to ignore it or try to demonize its bearer. Unless integrity, courage, and common sense result in the ability to honestly examine our own hypocrisy, we will lose the war of ideas and identity, and the land of the free will become a distant memory.

The Left’s hatred of Christianity, their successful attempt to destroy it in our national culture through the use of our courts, has left the US severely weakened in the face of virulent Islam. Read the Old Testament scriptures to see what happened to God’s people when they left His leading to follow other gods.
Unless spared by God’s love for the remaining remnant of His people, America will lie shattered on the bones of the other powerful nations of history. Our demise will be more bitter because we knew better.

They have been taught in our public schools for 50+ years that Islam is the “religion of peace”, and that the Crusades the Spanish Inquisition are proof of Christian cruelty.
We are reaping the rewards of that indoctrination, when nothing could be further from the truth.
The facts are, that Muhammad was a warlord who forced those he conquered to convert under the threat of death. And that Muslims went on a killing spree for the next 466 years after the conquest of Mecca by Muhammad, before what remained of the west wised up and decided to fight back in the heart of enemy territory, instead of waiting until the next Muslim attack.

The Muslims conquered Spain in 711 and ruled it with an iron fist until 1085 when the Spanish Christians had finally had enough and started fighting back.
374 years of Spanish patients.
But it took nearly 800 YEARS to get them completely out of Spain.
It wasn't until 1478 after the start of the Spanish Inquisition that Islam was finally driven out of Spain!
Oh! you didn't know that Spanish Inquisition was the last resort after 800 years to rid Spain of the Muslims? hm... I wonder how you missed that in public school!?
For those that missed this bit of history in public school, let me educate you:
Beginning in Valencia in 1502, Muslims were offered the choice of baptism or exile. The majority decided to accept the former, becoming ‘New Catholics’, of very great interest to the newly established Spanish Inquisition, authorized by Pope Sixtus IV in 1478.
So again, you see both historical atrocities supposedly perpetrated by Christians were nothing more than self defense after literally 100’s of years of patients while being slaughtered by the “religion of peace”
THAT is the real history of Islam.

The Spanish who had been fighting against Islam for 800 YEARS, and had learned butchery and forced conversion techniques from the best (many of which might have even been recent forced converts from Islam themselves)
The poor native Americans never had a chance against such barbarity at the hands of battle hardened Christian soldiers who had out of desperation and a need for survival adopted the barbarous forced conversion tactics of their former Islamic conquerors.

WW2 was not over until Naziism had been removed from any access to power.
The “War on Terror” is really a war against Islamic expansionism, and will not end until people world-wide turn away from Islam.
IMHO, I seriously doubt that we can win the existing wars against Islamic non-states, and states.
Roughly six years ago, after decades of fighting reality, the DOD finally issued a document entitled IW - Irregular Warfare. It was so important that it came out as a DIRECTIVE (you WILL) instead of the normal Instruction.
Unfortunately no one has been pinged for ignoring it.
We are still attempting to take weapon systems designed for conventional conflicts and apply it to IW. It is like taking a mid 1960’s family station wagon and racing it next weekend’s NASCAR race. The odds of winning are what?
If any reader has seen the Obama PR flick called “Zero Dark Thirty” there is one very import piece of reality when the Americans are surrounded and chased off because the locals didn’t want any “white faces’ around. And that is just the tip of the iceberg we have to over come.
