But the problem is messaging. This is not new news. If you ask young people if socialism is good, you will get positive responses. Why? because they so not know what socialism is visa vi the 20th century. They think of social goodness. However, if you ask Millennials if government should direct the economy you get very low positive results. Sad, but young people do not know history.

“If only those over the age of 30 had voted, Romney would have won...”
Yeah, and if the GOPe had run a conservative candidate...the millennial vote would not have been needed.

Comments on article:
1. “If only those over the age of 30 had voted, Romney would have won” GOP establishment still cannot understand why the base would not be inspired to get out of bed to vote for a RINO who was the architect of 0-care.
2. Why do millennials like socialism? Ekins asks. Because they dont know what it is. Umm.. no comment necessary.

So, maybe Senator Rand Paul is on the right track in thinking that the millennial vote is up for grabs this time around?

What’s the demographic breakdown (race, gender) on the Millenials?

As for the millennial shift to the right, I'm starting to see a split there between those older or younger than 24. Those 24-30 bought the Obama brainwashing and still do. Those 18-24 see some damn politician fubarring the country and wonder what their older siblings see in them.
