No, yours is a very good question. The answer is: NOTHING CHANGES.
Gridlock would continue (that's a positive IMO) however the collective Republican Party lacks the balls to actually face down Obama and cut government spending.
How do I know? Because they haven't cut a single thing since Obama got elected in the House of Representatives. The House hold the checkbook and appropriates funds. They've cut nothing/nothing meaningful. The over-spending party will continue, Gridlock may/may not mean no new laws get passed -- which again, I view as a good thing. Every day these corrupt bastards don't pass new laws is a day we still have some of our freedoms left!

Nothing conservative, anyway.

With the nuclear option, and with Clarence Thomas and Antonin Scalia well within their respectivr actuarial stroke/heart attack zones given age, weight and ethnicity, 51 Republican Senators is the difference between their replacement being a 68 year old Clinton appointee with a 20 year record of judicial moderation or a 43 year old leftist firebrand who hasn’t ever had a real job or a paying client.
Very bad.
They are not to be counted on, unless you want some major disappointment.

Never underestimate the ability of the Republican establishment to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.
“Hagan in NC is about as dumb as a ***king fence post.”
How the good people ...could put that [joke] in the Senate to start with is beyond me.”
Obama’s Cinderella election of 2008 coat-tailed Hagan. She is in competition with Murray out of WA as one of the dumbest Senators currently in the Senate. Besides, Hagan needs some dental work.
Live in the Old North State but spend time in VA. (Besides - you guys have some great wineries!) One thing common to both states is the recent influx of liberals from failed “blue states” - Raleigh-to-Charlotte corridor in NC and for VA the I-66 and I-95 corridors from DC. Let’s hope the off year election cleans our state’s Senators out the door.
Mike sez - GOP+7.
“Oh and there is that little issue of nominating a Supreme Court judge should a vacancy become open.....”
5 Republican Senators voted to confirm Kagan. 9 voted to confirm the wise Latina. Ruth Bader Ginsburg was confirmed by a 96 to 3 vote. Only 3 Republicans voted against her. None of the 3 Republican “no” votes is in the Senate today.
Don’t count on McCain, Hatch, Graham, Collins, and a few others to oppose the President, particularly if he nominates a female minority and claims the opposition is both sexist and racist.
Oregon ping....Wehby vs Merkley
Reid
Rush’s contention was not that polls were not being taken, they are just not being reported. Why? The most probable reason is because the polls are showing the dems in bigger trouble than their friends in MSM want to let the public know about. Rush says that if the polls were favoring dems, it would be headline news all day every day.
The rest of the country isn’t Texas Sherlock. Brown’s pulling up to Shaheen in NH. Even Oberwise is giving Durban a scare in Il. You take those wins kick those dirtbags out and kick Harry Red and Obama’s legacy to the curb. Or just forget it and post here on FR preening what a good conservative you are.
You are scared. Bad scared. It shows.
I don't like liberals. Especially liberal republicans.
I will work to politically destroy them so they can't keep taking the country further down Reid's agenda, like McConnell.
Sounds like you are the one that gets upset, hoss.
I'm not republican. I'm conservative.
You republicans will lose when you lose conservatives.
I'm not here for political points, I'm here for liberal scalps. Especially republican liberal scalps.

If you would like more information about what's happening in Oregon, please FReepmail me. I lost my Oregon list when my computer crashed recently, so please send me your name by FReepmail if you want to be on this list.
More...I think 9..the mere fact that Warner is even on this list says volumes..
I never underestimate their ability to do just that. In fact, I have a buddy who is a fund raiser for a senator and told him just that!
Merkley is in no danger. Thanks to the RINO RNC, Merkley is now running against a woman with no political experience. I contend the RNC is being run by Democrat infiltrators.
Scared? Of What? That the Republicans look to win in November? I’m happy. ...Oh as far as that Texas thing goes have fun rooting for Micheal Sam.
