Remember the polar vortex, the huge mass of Arctic air that can plunge much of the U.S. into the deep freeze? You might have to get used to it.
A new study says that as the world gets warmer, parts of North America, Europe and Asia could see more frequent and stronger visits of that cold air. Researchers say that's because of shrinking ice in the seas off Russia.

Haven’t heard?
Warm globally, cool locally!
Researchers say a lot these days. Quite a bit of it seems to be... well... frankly strange.
Yes, global warming causes planetary cooling, but you just have to be a Democrat to understand the concept.
Global warming ate my baby!
“A new study says that as the world gets warmer, parts of North America, Europe and Asia could see more frequent and stronger visits of that cold air.”
Oh, well... good thing another new study says that world isn’t actually getting warmer, so nothing to worry about.
Funny how every problem can be traced back to global warming according to “researchers” these days - even when there hasn’t been any global warming for 19 years...
Given that the ice off Russia has expanded greatly this year, then we shouldn’t have a polar vortex.
And therefore can look forward to a warm winter.
Right. Somehow I don’t think that’s how its shaping up.
the researchers have learned more and more about less and less such that they know nothing about anything
Yes, of course, and dark clouds are causing clear skies. Man made climate change skeptics will, no doubt, not believe this.
But don't confuse the "scientists" with the facts.
story on the radio news this morning about water runoff in the Sierras.
Began with “With global warming increasing ..”
I like the way you describe it. Seems like the best description I’ve seen in a while.
A study, paid for with your tax dollars, no doubt.
So they will have an excuse to tax you more.
Got it...

It actually makes some sense to me. Warmer temps causes ice to melt. The ice melts and that results in colder water joining in the worldwide currents. Which produces colder temps. Am I totally wrong? And let me just say, I think these events are natural and cyclical. Man does not have the effect that those nutjobs say we do. (Flame suit on.)

Arctic ice is at record high. Wouldn’t ice in the seas off Russia be the Arctic? This must be some new phenomena where shrinking ice causes it to get bigger.
Not much has changed, except today's bunch have a much more lucrative dollar trough that is being threatened, than the Ptolemaic scientists.
