I think yes. Russian government has overplayed it’s hand a little bit to me. Crimea is a kind of a suitcase without a handle which is quite an uncomfortable to carry. I don’t think anyone really want a couple more things like that. The problem that after media has played all these ‘nazi are coming!’ it is not that easy to withdraw and save face at the same time. It may hurt ratings badly. Limited autonomy for regions in question is a nice apportunity to de-escalate for all players.

It would seem sensible. With the danger of ISIS spreading into Turkey, you'd think sane civilized nations would want Russia to be able to focus on that if necessary.

How much loan money has Ukraine wasted shooting its own citizens? That money could've been much better spent if the Kiev gov had listened to its population and worked to improve Ukraine's economy.
