FERGUSON, Mo. Dorian Johnson had just moved from his mothers house in St. Louis to a two-bedroom spot in the Canfield Green Apartments that he was sharing with his then-pregnant girlfriend and another roommate.
Sometime in March, a buddy stopped by with a stranger.
Wow, Johnson said, thats a big dude.
The dude, Michael Brown, was 6-foot-4, and he had brushed past Johnson with barely a hello as he headed to the video-game console and began to play.
I asked, Why he dont speak? Johnson recalled in a 90-minute interview with The Washington Post last week his first interview since federal authorities questioned him shortly after the shooting, his attorneys said.
He dont like to talk to people, the buddy said.
Hes in my house, hes going to talk to me, Johnson replied then he engaged Brown. Johnson soon had the answer to his own question.
His voice didnt fit his body. He might as well have been my size, said Johnson, who is a lean 5-foot-7.
Everybody we came around felt a little intimidated by him, he said. When he opened up his mouth . . . youd say, Naw, this guy wouldnt hurt anybody. When he talked, you heard the kid in his voice.(continued)

I might point out that Mike Tyson sounds like a 12 year old girl.
I stopped reading right there.
Are they in the same gang? Was Johnson involved in the other murder too?
I wonder if that roommate's name is ANTHONY SIHAD ?
The two young men were both in transitional moments: one a 22-year-old father newly determined to provide for his daughter, .....
Yeah, sounds like a great story. Was he newly determined the day he was running with Michael Brown?
Johnson grew up in Walnut Park, one of St. Louiss tougher areas, where he lived in a house shared by his mother and aunt, who had 19 children between them.
Won’t it be a hoot if it’s confirmed that the cop really *did* sustain serious injuries courtesy of the Gentle Giant and that reports of the Gentle Giant having had a record of serious criminality as a juvenile are true.
Washington Post is really trying to exploit this.
You’d think they would learn after the Martin case in FL.
But I think they are well aware that what they are publishing is not reflective of reality and don’t care.
It is part of campaign 2014. After the election Ferguson will be forgotten by our East Coast media elite.
I didn’t get to the end. I presume I quit just just before the chapter about Brown nursing sick kittens back to health.
Sihad seems like a real loser, strutting around the yard fancy as you please, like a new rooster who hasn’t met the barncat yet:
Even if everything legally breaks for the officer, the liberal people of MO will always believe in The Gentle Giant myth.
“young men were both in transitional moments”
Who writes this @&*&^*&^*&^&^&^&$^$#%$%$#^%&%&^%$$%$ ????
transition from small crime to large crimes from juvy to the pen?
Only after serving tasty, nutritious meals at the homeless shelter, reading stories to poor blind children at the hospital, buying groceries for the food bank with the tip money he earned from mowing yards for the neglected elderly, and volunteering at the battered women’s shelter as a bodyguard and dishwasher.
There, fixed it.

I just googled the authors. They are african american men. Interesting that you could easily argue that these young men were troubled. Both of them.
They both:
1) Came from broken homes.
2) Didn’t graduate regular high school.
3) Had criminal records (Mike Brown prolly a juvenile record)
You could go on with such things as examining the lyrics of Mike Brown’s music and will assume the other guy had similar tastes as the article says they would listen to music together.
Little tidbits in the article strike me as more sad than anything else. Saying Mike Brown was a good dresser because he would change his shoelaces to match the color of his clothes just seems pointless to me. Grasping at straws to make this guy sound wholesome. But with what is known about Mike Brown, I think it is more likely he was an angry young man. Considering the social cues around him and his life circumstances the police officer’s story seems at the surface to me to be more right. I drive all around the Chicago metro area and can’t say I ever remember young men walking down the middle of a street in a nice neighborhood. In the ghetto that is full of angry young men, I see that somewhat often.
So my best guess to answer your question: The authors are black men with a bias to portray this as lopsided as possible, The intent is to portray Mike Brown as the victim, not perpetrator.
Considering all the facts of the case are not in yet, I think this journalism is pretty shameless.
I know a woman in her 70’s who has the voice of a sultry 25 year old. Maybe I can hook Wesley Lowery and Darryl Fears up with her - - they’re idiots. They won’t know the difference...
