The US has a veto in the UN, it would be insane for us to leave the UN given that we can veto any action proposed by the UN.

Good point. The best move would be to almost entirely defund it. Since the UN is essentially a debating society, let the US kick in maybe $100,000 a year to help keep the lights on.

The UN's humanitarian organizations are by and large corrupt and inefficient. Their duties are better handled by private charities.

I agree, but what we should do is CUT the amount we give to the UN by a massive amount. There is NO WAY we should be paying the majority of the UN’s budget. Each country should pony up the same amount (maybe a small increase for us because of our influence on committees) to be a part of that club!
