Kurdish Peshmerga forces, with the help of US military planes, have taken complete control of Rabia, a town located on the Iraq – Syria border.

 

On Saturday, a Kurdish military source told BasNews correspondent in Rabia that the Peshmerga  now control the strategically important area, holding the border between Iraq and Syria.

 

“Now, Rabia is totally under the control of Peshmerga forces and the advances of Islamic State (IS) militants from Iraq to Syria has been completely halted,” said the source.

 

He mentioned that Peshmerga forces are moving forward in Zumar and Rabia areas without so far incurring any loses of personnel.

 

The source also pointed out that the area from Ain Zala to Rabia and Zumar is under the control of Peshmerga forces.

I have been asking (and saying) this since this ISIS stuff began, where are the armies of the states who surround ISIS-—Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Iraq, Iran, Turkey? A pan-arab/islamic coalition army could wipe ISIS out in a matter of days. My theory is that ISIS has too many symps in those countries who would oppose their armies engaging fellow Muzz, however extreme. In the end the US will have to go it alone, with the possible exception of the very few allies Obamba has not totally alienated, and they only because their national interests will also be threatened.
