Playboy model Brandi Brandt jailed for drug role

Former Playboy model Brandi Brandt was sentenced to up to six years in prison Friday for being part of a drug smuggling ring that brought cocaine to Australia.

Brandt, who was once married to Motley Crue bassist Nikki Sixx, pleaded guilty in April to a charge of conspiring to import drugs. Prosecutors said she was part of a drug syndicate that hid packages of cocaine on Qantas and United Airlines passenger planes that flew from California to Sydney in 2007.

Employees of an airline catering company allegedly collected the packages after the planes landed.

The California-born Brandt, 45, was accused of conspiring with others to import the cocaine between July and December 2007.

How far she has fallen. From “Married with Children”, to prison. Too sad for words.

Look carefully at the history of the “playmates” and you're given a good idea of just how filthy and depraved Heffner is...and always has been.

I was once friends with one of the two former Playmates that keeps up their mailing list and helps them all stay in contact and am acquainted with some if the people who organize Glamoucon.

They tell me that the vast majority of Playmates enjoyed their brief time in the spotlight and then returned to their former lives. Most of the ones from the 50s, 60s, 70s and 80s married, had children and some have even had grandchildren. Some were or are full-time housewives. Others pursued careers ranging from law to nursing to teaching college English. One became the managing editor of the Denver Post. Another has published several novels.

On the whole, they seem to have been quite successful.

This post should be in Breaking News with a big siren. Imagine, we found a pretty woman who is not too smart. Who woulda thunk it?

OK,let's talk 30 years. That's about 350 women.I recall having seen a list once showing a very noticeable percentage of these women had met an early...and often ugly..demise.Murder victim's,drug ODs,etc.Compare those percentages against white American women (I think most were white) in the general population and I wonder what the stats would show.I can't speak for anyone else but of the white women with whom *I've* become acquainted in my life (relatives, friends, coworkers, etc) not a single one of them have been murdered,or died of drug ODs,etc.

There are plenty of ugly women with no brains — just look at the ranks of elected Democrats.

There have been more than 600 Playmates. Several of whom have lived well into their 80s.

There was an article after Anna Nicole Smith died on early deaths among Playmates. There were two who were murdered and about half dozen who died from drug overdoses. But the vast majority of those early deaths were from natural causes (Pamela Bryant died of an asthma attack and several died from cancer) or from accidents (Eve Meyer died in a plane crash). It would be hard to say those deaths were caused by their lifestyle.

OMG -- so you know someone's aunt's cousin's sister-in-law's stepfather's uncle's daughther on your mother's side, who was a consultant to a make-up artist in Hollywood in 1971? Wow, do tell.

The very first Playmate died of a drug overdose: Marilyn Monroe.

60 years since the first issue, so there have been about 720 Playmates. (Some girls were centerfolds in more than one issue.) So far, 61 of them have died. 19 of them were forty years old or younger when they died, and 14 were suicides/drug overdoses.

You mean the regular MWC eye candy wasn't good enough:

I could live without seeing Peg Bundy.

Wasn’t Traci Lords in an episode or two?
