KANSAS CITY, Mo. — An unusual respiratory virus is striking children in the metro in big numbers. Children’s Mercy Hospital is hospitalizing 20 to 30 kids a day with the virus. The hospital is as full now as it is at the height of flu season.
This is not the same virus we told you about several weeks ago that can cause meningitis. This one can cause severe breathing trouble. Children’s Mercy has seen more than 300 cases in recent days in kids of all ages.

I caught it in March and again last week and still trying to shake it. My Doctor says I’m just unlucky.
My niece’s 8yr old son was diagnosed recently with “walking pneumonia”. First I’ve heard of that in many yrs.
Yep, I also know people in GA who came down with it. Just a little gift from the iLLEGALS and those who choose not to vaccinate. There will be lots of health resources spent on getting those folks well. Also, the is a DPT booster for those of us adults who had the vaccine eons ago.
if all this can’t get people to kick them feds out of their lives then nothing will. afraid we are doomed due to the majority being complete and utter a-holes. Curse the greatest generation for raising a bunch of spoiled a-holes who have literally destroyed Eden.
Thats BS. I was told by a guy in Texas 15 miles from the border that it’s not kids. There are a lot of kids.....and FAMILIES. Lots of gang members as well. He told me that what they will do is the families go together, the adults hide while the kids turn themselves in. Then after border patrol takes their kids. The parents cross before BP has time to drop the kids off at the housing.
The parents go to other legal and illegal families and sympathizers all over the country. What you aren’t being told, is that the kids are going to where their illegal relatives are. They tell INS and BP that they have a legal uncle in (insert metropolis here), and no one checks because there are too many. So without even verification, they are sent wherever they ask with money, food,clothing, cell phones, food stamps, health care, education, transportation, welfare.
What would happen if you refused to provide these "extras?" Would your child be denied an education?

As to the DPT booster, that’s what my doc suggested though they are not so readily available as one imagines. <p€Another thing that we adults older than a certain age, is getting a Small Pox vaccination as it’s making another resurgence, thanks to illegals and parents fearful of all vaccines.

It says that “enterovirus 68” is in the same family as Polio and can cause paralysis.
I understand that there has been a resurgence of it around third world countries, which means soon to visit a community near you.
I, too, have a vaccination scar on my left arm. However, small pox seems to have been eradicated in the wild, and except for a few samples kept at secure sites, in the lab.
According to the WHO: “The last known natural case was in Somalia in 1977. Since then, the only known cases were caused by a laboratory accident in 1978 in Birmingham,
England, which killed one person and caused a limited outbreak”
There are various other poxes, such as monkey pox, which rarely infect humans.
I would be more concerned about tropical and sub-tropical diseases and parasites being brought in by illegals.
“Blame your government.”
Such blame, would be misguided in a nation where it is still established that the govt works FOR the people, and not the other way around.
An enterprising lawyer could start a thriving practice based on suing the government on behalf of parents who have kids suffering from these diseases.
This is what galls me; a generation that faced so much coddled their sprats instead of raising them to be hardy and as much of a realist as they were forced to become due to hardship.
This is why I’m not coddling my kids beyond a certain point in their life. I am not raising a kid to become a dipwit hippie who will take their advantages and wreck this country.
