Not sure what point you are trying to make, but I live in Europe and I have my phone with me all the time, I am available to take calls 24 hours per day, and I sometime work 7 days a week.
My point was that is what Germany is looking to protect employees from; there is simply no “down time”. I’m on call for certain occasions, but my staff isn’t.
Nothing to cheer about the lot of the average American worker over the last couple of decades...
