With gun laws keeping high-powered weapons out of reach for most people—especially those outside the U.S.—indoor shooting ranges with high-powered weapons have become a popular attraction.

Tourists from Japan flock to ranges in Waikiki, Hawaii, and the dozen or so that have cropped up in Las Vegas offer bullet-riddled bachelor parties and literal shotgun weddings, where newly married couples can fire submachine gun rounds and pose with Uzis and ammo belts.

“People just want to experience things they can’t experience elsewhere,” said Genghis Cohen, owner of Machine Guns Vegas. “There’s not an action movie in the past 30 years without a machine gun.” …

Perhaps they’ll discover what many shooters know - an hour or two at the range can be a very pleasant way to get some fresh air and extremely relaxing.

...and in the process, perhaps American’s should contemplate the bureaucratic disarming of the American people vis-à-vis their up armed Armed forces and police forces through the shall be infringed faction of the US Congress.

Machine guns though legal to own, have been marginalized and reduced in number by the Congress, to the point they are near impossible to own from a financial standpoint and limited in number to the point that they will be virtually unattainable in just a few years.

All thanks to those who wouldn’t understand “shall not be infringed” until they are personally being led to the slaughter. This is not to say machine guns are God’s gift to the oppressed, but it is a sign that we have forgotten what our founder’s were in hopes we would not, that Freedom and Liberty were principles that had to very often be paid for by the blood of those who would oppose tyranny in all it’s forms.

I do not believe the Founders intended for the Standing Army to outgun the People. The Police are another subject altogether. Another avenue for Government to RULE over it’s subjects. Surely, WE the PEOPLE cannot be allowed to own what we buy for our government in arms and when deemed surplus to their needs, are destroyed or demilled rather than being returned serviceable to those who actually paid for them.
