This article is pure, unadulterated BS.

The tipoff is the article’s conclusion:

“I protect my checking and savings account information from fraud with my advertiser LifeLock”

Basically, this article is nothing more than an alarmist infomercial for “Lifelock”.

I get free LifeLock every time an institution I deal with gets hacked. I have yet to receive any notifications from them that indicate a hack or have prevented an ID theft. Either that is a testament to their effectiveness or their uselessness.

I never understood that if you put some money in the bank, you have to get Life Lock (now Life Lock Super Advantage Ultimate Plus with less fat)for $325 a year to protect what the bank should be protecting..
