I’ve been in neighborhoods where the disaffected yute walk slowly down the middle of the road, or more comonly, several kids will cross the street slowly, first one then another. You really have to wait for the little game to stop or, as I have done more than once, back up to the beginning of the block and turn.
If THIS is what they mean by walking while black, then it may not be a surprise to anyone* that this disruptive jaywalking may- just throwin’ it out here- just may attract police attention.
*A careful read of the article indicates I may be wrong about the “anyone”.
I've seen this game played on major roadways. It appears to be a game of chicken with the toughs laughing at their wussy friends who refuse (or hesitate) to get out into on coming (white) traffic. I've also seen this game played by thugs who are out there by themselves and making a point of stepping into a lane of oncoming traffic (not merely "didn't see"/distracted, or attempting the cross a road one lane at a time). There the goal seems to be to intimidate the driver into stopping for their superior ass.
