I don’t mind if people pimp their blogs by excerpting instead of posting the whole article.

That's nice you have that opinion, but the man who set up and runs the web site, along with the adminstrators, views it differently.

FR does not exist for the purpose of driving traffic (read: revenue generation) to your, or anybody elses, blog.

I have no complaint if a good conservative blogger posts his own material to FR, not as an excerpt to drive hits and discussion back to his blog, but rather to impart useful information to OUR readers and to promote and join in on the discussion and conservative activism HERE on FR.

I just might post that helpful guide to bloggers, as an Undead Thread edition.
Probably a terrible idea as they won’t listen OR care, but at least it will be out there.

You just confused me.

Look, I like writing. I’ve been told I’m pretty good at it. Why should I - the copyright holder - not have the right to excerpt my own work? It’s not as if my blog makes money - I refuse to have ads at all, since they are annoying as hell, and never look at traffic. It’s simply a place I use to date stamp to establish copyright.

Yet these things are my creations. How should they be treated differently from MSM articles?
