Krasnodon: At least six vehicles of the Russian humanitarian convoy were on territory of the plant “Yunost”. There were constant sounds and clattering noise of metal while the trucks were there.

During the time of the Soviet Union the factory was responsible for the production of relays and electronic chips for missiles and submarines. The Russians had previously shipped the Japanese equipment which was installed at the plant. The plant was closed for a period after the collapse of the Soviet Union, but later re-commenced production under new ownership.

The public corporation “Yunost” produces different type of relays: high stable, dimensionally accurate hermetic micro miniature relay from 2.0 grams in weight (RES 70, RES 80, RPS 42, RPS 43 and REK 21) for the machinery, aviation, aerospace and rocket industries; the automotive relay for electrical equipment of the cars, trucks, passenger vehicles and agricultural machinery. On post-soviet territories the company has a monopoly in the production of specialized products for the rocket and aerospace industry.

Luhansk: There was dismantling of the Luhansk Cartridge Works plant.

Donetsk: All equipment and production was stolen by the Russian convoy from the Topaz plant, which produces the well-known and sophisticated radar called “Kolchuga”. The plant also makes “Liman” complex (designed for radio control aviation lines of suppression in the frequency ranges 100-400 Mhz and 960-1215 Mhz).

Snizhne: There was an attempt to strip one of the plants of the company Motor Sich producing “blades and disks for jet turbine and turbojet engines for aircraft and helicopters”. It is the only plant which produces blades for turbines amongst the post-Soviet territories.

So I guess we now know why the trucks with “emergency aid” were nearly empty when they entered Ukraine territory. Just as Russians stripped German factories end of WW-2) and hauled everything back to Russia, they are now doing it with Ukraine factories.
