Gambling is a tax on the stuipid poor...Just like the lottery.
That being said I don’t think the government should be allowed to step in between the stuipid people and the people they want to give their money to.
I sometimes get a lotto ticket for the entertainment value of it, but I have realistic expectatiosn that I will no doubt lose. I have gone to vegas a few times for the food and entertainment and played some video poker for a while for fun. But I didn’t gamble my life fourtunes on some slim chance to a “payout windfall” either.
