ISIS Demands A $6.6 Million Ransom For Release Of A 26-Year-Old American Woman
Jeremy Bender
August 26, 2014
ISIS has released demands that America pay a $6.6 million ransom and the release of a suspected terrorist in exchange for the release of a captured 26-year-old American woman, ABC News reports.
The American woman was captured over a year ago while participating in humanitarian relief work in Syria. The woman has remained unidentified, pursuant with the wishes of the family and the U.S. government.
ISIS is demanding that the U.S. both pay a $6.6 million ransom and also release Aafia Siddiqui.
Siddiqui is an MIT graduate in neuroscience who was convicted in 2010 by the U.S. of trying to kill two American officials in Afghanistan.
The U.S. has a strict policy of not paying ransoms for hostages held by terrorist organizations, for fear that it may encourage further kidnappings of U.S. nationals.

Execute Aafia Siddiqui.
They should send them her head.
No, but we'll swap 5 Gitmo terrorist for one American deserter!
If I was this woman, I’d be pissed - only $6.6 million? They wanted $100 million for Foley. This is sure to upset the feminists.
“Let’s just make it an even seven mil, you get the sister back and you can keep the infidel chick.” B. Hussein Obama
" born 2 March 1972) is a Pakistani who studied neuroscience in the United States. She immigrated to the US in 1990 and obtained a PhD from Brandeis University in 2001.[8]"
"In early 2003, Siddiqui returned to Pakistan. In March 2003, she was named as a courier and financier for al-Qaida by Khalid Sheikh Muhammad and was placed on a "wanted for questioning" list by the FBI. She subsequently disappeared until she was arrested in Ghazni, Afghanistan, with documents and notes for making bombs plus containers of sodium cyanide. Siddiqui was indicted in New York federal district court in September 2008 on charges of attempted murder and assault stemming from an incident in an interview with US authorities in Ghazni, charges which Siddiqui denied
Money over allah... LOL
Lol. Thought the same thing. Sandra Fluke gets involved in this and ISIS just might surrender.
Perdicaris live or Raisuli dead.
There was a time when a simple statement like that, would bring an immediate release of the person held for ransom.
But that was a time when the President spoke softly and carried a big stick.
“Execute Aafia Siddiqui.”
“They should send them her head.”
BUMP! BUMP!
Send them Siddiqui immediately -- and one other of their people.. one piece at a time.
Soviets Offer 'How-to' Lesson 1986 and Muslims had kidnapped four Soviets
the KGB castrated a relative of a prominent Muslim leader and sent the severed organs to the Muslim, with advice that they knew of his other relatives. The remaining three Soviets were freed immediately.
“They should send them her head.”
(oops...forgot you boycott...worth another bump anyway)
BUMP!
Nice story, but the reality was different.
On 18 May 1904, Perdicaris, and Ellen's son Cromwell, were kidnapped from their home by Mulai Ahmed er Raisuli's bandits. Several of Perdicaris's servants were injured by Raisuli's men, and Ellen was left behind alone. Shortly after leaving Tangier, Perdicaris broke his leg in a horse fall. Raisuli demanded of Sultan Abdelaziz of Morocco, $70,000 ransom, safe conduct, and control of two of Morocco's wealthiest districts.
Despite the circumstances, Perdicaris came to admire and befriend Raisuli, who pledged to protect his prisoner from any harm. Perdicaris later said: "I go so far as to say that I do not regret having been his prisoner for some time... He is not a bandit, not a murderer, but a patriot forced into acts of brigandage to save his native soil and his people from the yoke of tyranny.
Roosevelt's resolve weakened when he was advised on 1 June that Perdicaris was not a US citizen, that in fact he had forfeited his American passport for a Greek one forty years earlier; but Roosevelt reasoned that, since Raisuli thought Perdicaris was an American citizen, it made little difference. Roosevelt tried to get Britain and France to join the US in a combined military action to rescue Perdicaris, but the two countries refused and France actually reinforced its garrison in anticipation of an American assault. Instead, the two powers were covertly recruited to put pressure on the Sultan to accept Raisuli's demands, which he agreed to do on 21 June. Hay saw the need to maintain face so he issued a statement to the Republican National Convention:
This government wants Perdicaris alive or Raisuli dead.
According to all witnesses, the Convention, which had been lukewarm towards Roosevelt up until then, went wild at this remark. One Kansas delegate exclaimed, "Roosevelt and Hay know what they're doing. Our people like courage. We'll stand for anything those men do." This famous catchphrase quickly caught on, and helped Roosevelt secure his election.
Another peaceful muzzie among the many who roam our shores and who are coming in by the plane load. How good are their background checks or are they even investigated before entry into the country?
This time it’s a femmemuzzie.
And we plan to fight ISIS? Rots of ruck.
Mr. Foley went to help the rebels in Syria and they kidnapped him because they thought their ransom demands on him and his subsequent decapitation would serve their cause better than Foley's reporting. I tend to think ISIS feels the same way about this woman.
” Soviets Offer ‘How-to’ Lesson 1986 and Muslims had kidnapped four Soviets “
You sometimes have to admire the inventiveness of the KGB....
But not always agree with it of course...
Send them 6.6 mil worth of live ordinance payable when opened!
“...woman was captured over a year ago while participating in humanitarian relief work in Syria.”
I wonder if this liberal, touchy-feely “humanitarian” relief worker ever had the thought that these barbarians just might not be thankful for sticking her nose in their business?
There is plenty of “humanitarian” work needed right here in the United States so why did she go there? Answer: Because international humanitarian experience counts a lot more on a resume than working in an Indian reservation in Utah.
While sticking their noses in the business of Africa, the Middle East and Somalia the day will come that they either look like a good meal or a prize hostage in exchange for money.
I have no sympathy for someone who would put themselves in a position to be captured for barter (or a tasty meal) and then expect others to risk their life to come and save them.
Moral of the story: Don’t go over there.
I guess they think if Obama gave up five terrorists for one deserter/traitor, a murderer is worth something.
How about a couple of well aimed cruise missiles as store credit instead.
