well what’s the truth about “how the world works”? It seems to me nothing is predictable. If you are a doper, most likely you will have a terrible lazy life, but on the other hand you might be a fabulously wealthy “star”. If you are mean and selfish, you might be lonely or on the other hand you might be CEO of some huge company. If you are Godly you might be happy on the other hand God might pick you for peculiar suffering like Dietrich Bonhoeffer.

Good points. You can do all the smart things, but still end up without the success that was promised.

I’ve told my kids that nothing in life is guaranteed. A good education gives you more options, but that’s it.
