A superb piece of anti-war propaganda written by an avowed Communist designed to undermine British patriotism and which has been almost entirely responsible for rewriting the actual history of what was a magnificent military victory achieved by an initially hopelessly outclassed British Army that went on to smash a previously invincible German army.
