as the shooting a legitimate exercise in self-defense by an officer under attack? Was it an overreaction for which Officer Wilson should suffer serious civil and criminal consequences? Such questions can only be answered by a thorough and fair investigation, the kind of due process owed to both the victim and the subject of the investigation

I'm hearing this kind of stuff a lot. As well as the "I wasn't there, so I don't know what happened" cop out (pun not intended)

Yes, it deserves investigating but looking at the cops narrative it becomes easy to see that it makes the most sense, it is also supported by the evidence, and it is also supported by the credible witnesses.

Only time will tell, but it looks very much to me like it was a legitimate shoot.
