Via the Daily Signal. Easy prediction: This soundbite will inspire lots of scoffing and sneering without even a bare attempt at an argument on the merits for why he must be wrong.

“There’s the obvious great concern that because of the condition of the border from the standpoint of it not being secure and us not knowing who is penetrating across, that individuals from ISIS or other terrorist states could be [crossing the border] — and I think there is a very real possibility that they may have already used that,” he said…

“We have no clear evidence of that but your common sense tells you when we’ve seen the number of criminal activities that have occurred — and I’m talking about the assaults, the rapes, the murders — by individuals who have come into this country illegally over the last five years, the idea that they would not be looking at [the border] … is not a good place to be,” he said.

He’s fearmongering! ISIS poses no direct threat to the U.S. (yet)! Is that right? Here’s Mike Morell, former deputy director of the CIA:

After explaining what he thought needed to be done to defeat the terrorists (more targeted strikes and better intelligence), he said that “if an ISIS member showed up in a mall in the United States tomorrow with an AK-47 and killed a number of Americans I would not be surprised.”

Very possible. We know the MB is already here and the large myriad of shell entities they have operating under the guise of non-profits here namely as student and/or activist organizations, chambers of commerce, and religious support groups. They are also here operating legitimate looking business entities that are used to send funds overseas, many of them taking out multi-million dollar loans from our government and never paying them back. Even innocent looking convenience stores are being used to support terrorist organizations and bring them over here to get their operatives put into place (I know of several that I discovered while conducting investigations alone).

ISIS is the new name and the more virulent form of Al-Qaeda.

Their sleeper cells are already here. All we need is for some suicidal group to suddenly attack a kindergarten and take children hostage and kill them one by one while filming it ( see what happened in Russia ) for us to realize that.

Without a serious fence system for the Border Patrol to actually watch and guard, the BP is forced to “defend in depth.” The southern border is 2,019 miles from sea to sea. If the Border Patrol check points are 40 miles from the border, agents must roam across an area of 80,000 square miles seeking illegal immigrants. This is a fool’s errand, deliberately futile. 80,000 square miles is the size of Idaho or Kansas.

The same number of border patrol agents actually guarding a physical barrier means that every inch of the border is under observation at all times. For example, anybody carrying a ladder to the fence will be seen, and stopped by nearby Border Patrol agents who react to their approach. That is why the San Diego fence is so effective. It needs to be extended across the entire border. Or, we can keep play-acting at border security, with the Border Patrol playing Keystone Kops across 80,000 square miles of rough scrub land terrain.

Yes, your common sense would tell you they are here. If they didn’t sneak across the border, they traveled here on their US/European pass ports, and if they are not here yet, they will be soon enough.

And sure, convenience stores are a perfect front for laundering funds for terror. They are mostly money service businesses that send money all over and seem to be predominantly owned by foreign nationals.

I used to work in a bank and had to perform due diligence on these companies and even though they had all their papers in order, there’s still plenty of room for illicit activites.

I don’t think they’ve thought their strategy through if it involves allowing dangerous terrorists into the country to declare a caliphate. It’s like opening the door to a stranger who says he just needs a room for the night and says he can’t pay you now but will tomorrow and you let him in; only to feel a blade slit your throat in the middle of the night. They are playing with serious fire. Once 0’s term is over we need to make sure he doesn’t flee the country and gets to feel the results of his own treachery in full force.

I have missed the back story alluded to in this and other articles that ISIS is extremely “flushed” with cash. Where is all this money coming from? We need to bomb the hell out of the money stream - meaning those who are supplying the money. If they are the Saudis, the same rule applies. As GW said, you are either with us in this world war on terrorism or you are the enemy.
