Cassidy has voted for Democrats in the past, including former presidential candidates Michael Dukakis in 1988 and Paul Tsongas in 1992. He also donated to Landrieu in one of her previous campaigns.
What does that tell you? I've never been able to stand Bill Cassidy and that stupid, phony grin he keeps on his face. He is the Establishment / Karl Rove candidate.

The biggest threat to Cassidy in this "jungle primary" system comes from fellow Republican and self-styled Tea Party conservative, retired Air Force Col. Rob Maness who says Cassidy is part of the problem in gridlock-stricken Washington.
"He (Cassidy) goes with the leadership all the time," Maness said. "Voters can't trust him."
"Tea Party Conservative"..... that's why Rove and the Establishment want him to lose so badly. They don't think he can win in the General.

Those who always like to say: “The Tea Party needs to do a better job of vetting their candidates”, need to know, Rob Maness is a Retired Colonel. He’s no dummy. He just doesn’t have all the money in his campaign coffers that Hopalong and Big Bertha have.

I predict Mary loses UNLESS control of the Senate hinges on the December runoff. In that case the rats will steal the race by any means necessary.

Maness has zero experience and is clueless about what he would do if given the opportunity.

“Maness has been slowly gaining in the polls on Cassidy, while Landrieu’s overall lead has diminished.”
Not sure what polls Carl is getting, but RCP last poll shown is a PPP poll done in JUNE and Landrieu is 17 plus in that poll. Maness has a whooping 8 points in that poll.
I know, Cassidy is the spoiler with his 25% because Manass is the pure candidate.
Has there been some polling that RCP has not picked up on?

The Democrats have always been more "street wise" than the Pubbies. So, if the GOP is stupid enough to let the 'Rats steal it..... oh well.

If the ‘Rats do steal it, and Mitch missed being Majority leader of the Senate (if his sorry ass wins on Nov. 4), and he misses it by one Seat..... THAT WOULD BE SWEET JUSTICE for him helping Thad Cochran steal the Mississippi Primary from Chris McDaniel.

It couldn’t have been 25 years ago. She’s only been in Office 18 years. As for me, I voted for Nixon in my first Presidential Election in 1968. Been a Conservative Republican ever since; we’re talking 46 years. And I was raised in Texas by parents who were “Yellow Dog” Democrats.

Tsongas, rest his soul, would seem way to the right of current Dems, with his support of the death penalty for murderers of police and judges.

hot and Louisiana in the same sentence can only mean sauce in little bottles.

What kind of “experience”? Being a Washington insider and kissing a** for 20 years? Maness is a Retired Colonel. Did you ever make it to the rank of Colonel, jerk-off? How do you know he is clueless about what he would do? What part of LA do you live in? How closely have you followed his campaign? Tell us when he indicated that he was clueless, and provide documentation. Otherwise STFU.

Just checked: RCP a/o July 24 has Cassidy at 46.8 and Thunder Thighs at 45.8...... Cassidy +1. They usually don’t even include Maness in the polls. He has been ignored in this race like he has AIDS. It has nothing to do with purity..... Cassidy is a Washington guy.... serves in Congress... beholden to the Establishment.... he’s one of the boys. He’ll do what Mitch McConnell and Lindsey Graham tell him to do. When they unbuckle their belts, he’ll immediately fall to his knees.

These runoffs in Louisiana don’t seem to go well from what I remember...

Zero experience at what?
He served his country admirably and with distinction during a war.
Are you talking about political experience?
Of what value is that to a conservative?
We, as conservatives, know that those without that vaunted "experience" that those who are members of the GOP-E keep harping about are the best candidates from a conservative point of view and much less likely to sell out their conservative principles and less likely to stab us in the back at the same time.
Much less likely than those who have that "experience" you are talking about,

She won the first time she ran thanks to the incredible turnout in the cemetaries in New Orleans. Nothing short of a miracle!
