What did we expect? Conservatives in the USA make fun of President Barack Obama spending all his time attending fund-raisers. But they never seemed to notice that Barack Obama is raising funds. Conservatives cant seem to figure out that what Democrats do at fund-raisers is they actually raise money. Then Democrats win elections.
As news broke of the preposterous indictment of Texas Governor Rick Perry Friday night, Mark Levin dubbed the Great One by Rush Limbaugh was outraged, despondent, flummoxed and grumpy. All at once. Levin clearly felt and expressed that a line had been crossed (yet again).
But how did we get here? Bill Clinton came out of the White House gate aggressively raising money for every Democrat running for office he could find. He had just been impeached, disbarred, and publicly humiliated for his extreme violations of workplace laws with a subordinate. Oh, geez we have to put an etc. down or the list could go on for pages. A thousand reasons for Clinton to go hide in shame didnt stop him from filling campaign coffers for Democrat candidates everywhere.
Al Gore was out there for a while. Joe Biden is raising funds. Conservatives make fun of Hollywood types, but they certainly are busy.
So who is doing the equivalent on the Republican side in U.S. elections? Well, exactly nobody.
This author was shocked to learn that at least three Republican state parties could not get any headliner for GOP events over this summer even with the help of the Republican National Committee. North Carolina, Oklahoma, and Delaware got no help from any national Republican to build the state party or raise party funds.
Who on the Republican side is doing anything similar to help Republicans win elections?

The mistaken notion that the RNC cares about what any conservative thinks or does is the fundamental problem
What really needs to happen is to have a complete over haul of leadership
Karl Rove /s
What really needs to happen is to have a complete REPLACEMENT of leadership.
We don’t need to fund raise. We have the Koch brothers.
In Texas the top donors are (were?) trial lawyers (Democrats) who were handed a billion dollars from the multibillion dollar tobacco settlement.
Walking around money. The Rats reward their own and it gets kicked back to them later. Now look at the Green Energy, Green Car, Healthcare, etc debacles and there are billions more ready for scampaign contributions. Then there is all that money that Planned Parenthood gets. As if they can REALLY keep those piles separate.
Who wants to donate money to Republicans when they use it against conservatives?
I got a letter from the RNC yesterday asking me “have you abandoned the party?”. I sent the letter back with a note saying I didn’t abandon the party, the party abandoned me. I am now an official conservative orphan. I will cherry pick who and when to support a candidate with my money.
I completely agree with and support your decision; I'm no longer a Republican because the other guy's worse
is a stupid reason to cast a vote, instead of giving me the least unacceptable howabout giving me someone that I can vote for?
There are two class levels in the Republican party. One is the servants to the rich and big business. The other is a tiny number who actually represent Mr. and Mrs. America.
Why would you pay someone to stab you in your back? That’s exactly what you do when you donate to the Republican-E reelection fund.
Donate directly to the candidate of your choice and not to the party’s general fund for the “masters” of the Republican plantation only use these funds to support those who pander to crony capitalism and special rights for everyone except the whites of this country.
Vote for the man (or woman) who represents YOUR INTERESTS, regardless as to which party they belong. Hold your donations to the major parties and starve the beast that is eating your liberties for breakfast.
For the record, I have not donated a single dime to the RNC since 1990.
“Vote for the man (or woman) who represents YOUR INTERESTS, regardless as to which party they belong.” What utter nonsense. There is not a single democrat that will ever represent my interests. That has been true for at least 40 years.
Not quite sure why you are haranguing me I didn’t say anything that suggested I am a supported of the GOPe
They had enough money to pay for Democrat voters in the Mississippi primary.
