President Barack Obama is considering key changes in the nation's immigration system requested by tech, industry and powerful interest groups, in a move that could blunt Republicans' election-year criticism of the president's go-it-alone approach to immigration.
Administration officials and advocates said the steps would go beyond the expected relief from deportations for some immigrants in the U.S. illegally that Obama signaled he'd adopt after immigration efforts in Congress collapsed. Following a bevy of recent White House meetings, top officials have compiled specific recommendations from business groups and other advocates whose support could undercut GOP claims that Obama is exceeding his authority to help people who have already violated immigration laws.
Obama's aides have held more than 20 meetings in recent months with business groups and other interest groups to discuss possibilities, ahead of an announcement about next steps the president is expected to make in September. Coordinating these "listening sessions," as the White House calls them, is its Office of Public Engagement, led by top Obama adviser Valerie Jarrett.
Obama's options without new laws from Congress are limited and would only partially address obstacles business groups say are preventing them from hiring more workers. Even so, administration officials say these groups are urging the White House to help streamline a complex and unpredictable system.

So Laura Wides-Munoz and Josh Lederman of ABC News appear to be claiming that as long as business groups and other advocates give Obama the green light to violate the Constitution, that makes it 'OK'.

Could be part of why he’s bending over SO FAR backwards to court support from the “people of color” in this Ferguson thing, because he’s about to sabotage all LIVs with some work permits for millions of illegals.

Sounds to me like we need to find out who these corporations and powerful entities are that are colluding with the Obama Administration so we can go after them with the same vengeance as one of Obama’s scorned tricks.
Of course, most of us know who the powerful influence peddlers are that have his ear and we’re also aware that his tricks are mostly dead or soon to be. Et tu, Reggie?
The Emir will do it in such a way that the Republicans stand to lose most of their Big Donors if they oppose it. Big companies are every bit as avid for destroying the Republic as the Democrats are and Republicans as Republicans will do anything to avoid alienating Big Business which is a lost cause anyway because Big Business is largely in the Democrat pocket already. He will use this to puthimself in the position of actual political omnipotence. If he can proclaim Amnesty without substantial opposition then he can proclaim Citizenship and he has it all. At that point the Congress and the Courts are truly and obviously the ciphers they have been in actuality for some time. They will be no more than static in the background.
