Washington Post: Was James Foley’s killer a former Gitmo detainee?

The British accent in the video that depicted the despicable and cowardly murder of an American journalist has raised concerns in the UK about the background of the ISIS jihadist. The Washington Post’s report on the butchery includes this nugget that should have Americans thinking twice, too:

In an interview with the BBC, Foreign Secretary Philip Hammond acknowledged that the apparent executioner spoke with a British accent and said the video seemed to be genuine.

Hundreds of Britons are believed to have traveled to Syria to fight in the country’s civil war, including many who have joined the Islamic State.

“We’re absolutely aware that there are significant numbers of British nationals involved in terrible crimes, probably in the commission of atrocities,” Hammond said. “Many of these people may seek at some point to return to the U.K., and they would then pose a direct threat to our domestic security.”

A European intelligence official said the British government was examining the video, and the speech of the purported executioner, to compare it with former Guantanamo Bay prisoners and other British residents believed to have joined the Islamic State.

Both prisoners in the video are wearing orange shirts and pants, similar to orange jumpsuits worn by detainees at the U.S. military prison at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. A similar outfit, believed to be a jihadist symbol of the prison, was worn by Nicholas Berg, an American businessman kidnapped in Iraq in 2004 whose execution by an Islamic State precursor organization was recorded on video and posted online.

Do you think if he was a Gitmo detainee, that you would ever hear about it from this Administration?

What’s needed is a weapon that can track down terrorists using various biological signatures, like voice, retina, dna, and inject the target with a poison that causes a slow and excruciating death.

About 20 years ago, the FBI abandoned voiceprints against suspected US crooks.

But if it proves that he was released from Gitmo, then Obama would see the error of his ways and quit releasing prisoners.

NOT!!!!

What is becoming worrisome is the possibility of domestic ISIS members starting to kidnap and decapitate innocents right here in the US — the young being the most vulnerable targets. This gruesome practice seems to be their favorite form of advertisement.

After all, it is estimated that there are about 100 Americans who have joined ISIS in Syria and the middle east and we do not know the number of ISIS sympathizers among our muslim population. Time for us to stop referring to islam as the ROP.

Sooner or later these butchers will be sent back home to create havoc here. With our wide open borders they will have no difficulty sneaking in, undetected.

It is time for Congress to have a general discussion on the problem of islam — they have kicked the can down the road long enough on this subject.

Everytime those bloody savages post another of their grisly murder videos, two Guantanamo jihadis should be slathered in bacon grease and promptly hanged.

And a bunch of idiots are dancing around the mid-west with their arms up, screaming death threats to....... fellow AMERICANS. Media is enthralled with them, while a vicious, insidious enemy from another part of the world is beheading Americans and moving into the US. LOL

I recall reading some of the al Qaida docs recovered in Iraq indicated OBL was PO’d at the bunch that cut Nick Bergs head off.

They weren’t suppose to cut his head off and doing so screwed up what was planned with the video.

Then in 2005 this same bunch out of Iraq planned a terrorist attack in NYC without first getting OBL’s permission.

That was the terrorist attack in October 2005 that Bloomberg popped his mouth off about even though Bush asked him not to.

In early 2006 is when al Qaida began helping the US mil to hunt down and turn their leader into hamburger.

“What is becoming worrisome is the possibility of domestic ISIS members starting to kidnap and decapitate innocents right here in the US”

Well, throughout the US they’re already doing honor killings of their own “Westernized” women as reported by various media. But no outcry from the public. So I’m disheartened to think there’ll be no outcry about these beheadings.

PS: I’m cynical enough to think the WaPo is taking an interest in it only because the victims were journalists. When it’s mere peons of the lower castes, like us, the WaPo ignores it.
