Ditto. Businesses become political at their peril. They could have just kept quiet; they didn’t and should now suffer the consequences.

Businesses also ignore their successful business models at their peril. Back then Target started out, they were a bit upscale, with very good quality merchandise selections that shaved a few dollars off the price for quality at upscale retailers. It was a place where there was a lot of nice and interesting merchandise, attractively displayed.

I went into a Target a few months ago. There's no longer any reason for it to exist. The merchandise wasn't the good values and uniqueness of old, it was a bit more like WalMart. And then their political stuff? Forget it.
