Zactly. Reminds me of a Monty Python sketch where they are arresting a murderer, and he says, "I admit it all, but society's to blame." and the cop responds, "RIGHT, we'll arrest them instead!"

Also reminds me of the best conservative cartoon show ever, Rocky And His Friends. I especially remember the Dudley Do-Right episode where Snidely Whiplash was on trial and defended by Nell Fenwick. Nell argued that society was responsible for Snidely’s crimes against the protests of Dudley and Nell’s father Inspector Fenwick. Snidely smiled innocently at the jury the whole time.
