I would gather my security about me and dare the sheriff to try to arrest me.
Indeed, I did.
I don't want to jeopardize my posting privileges here, either, but the plain truth is becoming too obvious to pretend we're not heading in that direction.
They'd never be put in such a position, because no Republican D.A. would ever think of bringing such scurrilous, politically-based charges against a Democrat Governor.
The wheels of Justice move faster if you’re a Republican, I hear.

Yipes! What is THAT? Maybe that’s her best look!
How did Perry *assist* with his train being derailed? Just curious.
Nah, her better look. ;-)
And yet Obama won’t ever be indicted for true abuse of power....

How many bottles of MD 20-20 have you drank tonight?
By turning himself in. At some point, we are going to need to take a stand and say enough is enough, even if that stand flies in the face of the "law", which you and I both know is being used against Conservatives in this, and many other cases.
By turning himself in?? Really??! Like he could not have?
Do you realize the field day/frenzie the left would’ve had with THAT? Even more so, than they’re trying real hard to have, now.
Did you happen to catch Perry’s presser, immediately following his campaign portrait session? He explained, thoroughly, why he “turned himself in”. He follows the letter of the law. Just like he did when he vetoed the #DrunkenDA’s appropriation of $$ in her budget.
LOL...
Can he order an investigation into the gross misconduct of a public official? If he can’t then why does every peon below him with an axe to grind and a political agenda have that ability? Who the hell is running the show down there? And why would Perry even consider relenting to what amounts to partisan political revenge? This is straight up alinsky 101: make your opponent live up to their rules, while breaking those rules with impunity, to break your enemy.

Sorry, that happens all the time is the US. Everyday. As an NRA Life Member I do NOT agree with it, but the reality is you lose your right to own guns when you are ACCUSED of a crime, not when CONVICTED. It does not even have to be a felony. Read the papers.
