I wish they would stop this crap. There are no tanks theres and not of the equipment, with perhaps the exception of some of the rifles, was ever issued to the military.
Most of the gas masks they are wearing was issued directly after 9/11 by FEMA.

I notice a lot of the "protesters" are wearing gas masks too. I even saw a few last night who looked like they might be wearing armor.

"There are no tanks there..." I suspect that's more a matter of economics than restraint. If the fedgov had included Abrams MBTs in their LE giveaway, rest assured there would be departments that would have felt the need to secure one.
