Protesters, Police In Riot Gear Brace For Tense Night In Ferguson By Eliott C. McLaughlin, Dana Ford and Holly Yan, CNN August 18, 2014
Ferguson, Missouri (CNN) -- An evening of peaceful protests devolved into another tense standoff as a few protesters hurled bottles toward police in Ferguson, Missouri. But the rowdy demonstrators were greatly outnumbered by fellow protesters trying to keep the gathering peaceful. Some locked arms and walked through the crowd. "Get out of street! Don't fight!" some protesters bellowed on bullhorns. Police in riot gear formed a barricade, donnning gas masks and asking reporters to do the same. Some sat with guns pointed atop armored vehicles. But they showed restraint. Officials temporarily detained a few, including news photographer Scott Olson and longtime activist and Holocaust survivor Hedy Epstein.

This has gone far past any reasonable or even unreasonable amount of anger at the incident.
Tear-gassing the crowd at the end of the street, right now.
SOMEONE HAS BEEN SHOT.
These protests are always described as starting off peaceful.
What part of these events now have the media so confused, that they don’t describe these as ongoing riots and violent anti-police events?
Why should this be tolerated? Encircle the protesters and arrest every damn one of them.
Next night do it again.
Well, if they now have the presence of “long time activists,” as indicated above I guess we know why it’s gone on so long.
The people I feel bad for are the handful of good, ordinary people who love in that town and have essentially been mass- kidnapped by the thugs, our own version of Boko Haram.

If the authorities could magically remove anybody that lives more than, say, 10 miles from the QT, wonder what they’d have left?
I’ve been off here for 10+ days, wondering if you are still in the camp of ‘the cop is guilty as heck’.
