Seem to recall some FR posters saying the early reports of this training weren’t true.
I’ll try to summarize from my limited perspective.
* It’s a myth that the USA directly trained or armed ISIS
* The USA did train some of the FSA
* The FSA has openly cooperated with Al Nusra in several battles. Al Nusra is basically Al Qaeda.
What a surprise that some of the FSA grew closer to them ideologically.
* A significant part of the FSA later joined ISIS. A lot of people saw this coming and portions of the FSA didn’t sound very different despite the press calling them “moderate”.
* ISIS acquired a massive USA weapons cache in Iraq.
To me it seems incredible that we couldn’t sabotage our equipment before they were captured.
Does that mean something fishy happened?
Maybe?
With our government having openly supported an islamist takeover in Egypt, not much would surprise me at this point.
The good news is that maybe Janet Napolitano’s successor can use all of these ISIS trained fighters after they return to the US to protect us against the real terrorists: The military members returning from Afghanistan and other right wingers on her list.
Sure hope you can spot sarcasm from a good distance.
Just couldn’t believe Barack Hussein would have anything to do with Muslims or that having an Iranian be the strongest adviser to Hussein would have any influence on foreign policy, eh?
The thing I don’t like about WND is that they keep throwing krap on the wall. WND latest ploy is the pushing of Carlson for POTUS who believes Treyvon was a “victim” and no guns for US. Playing to the conservative side of the LI pool. Because they know Carlson’s positions but push him anyway.
Any good WNS does is diminished by the other krap they throw at us.
The main material thing Islamic Scum have going for them are vehicles and heavy weapons like 50 cal mounted pickups on up.
This is something US airpower is ideally suited for-——— blow the living crap out of their motorized stuff and put them on foot against their opposition such as the Kurds.
Of course since the forces of evil control our own government we cannot expect much.
