No, I think the cop should have shot him several times as they would have done on a typical Friday night in Chicago...by his fellow African Americans.

One shot: pretty much like Rooster Cogburn shooting the Chinaman’s rat in his kitchen, in True Grit. I think he said he wrote a writ for execution of a wroten rat.
