A friend who is conservative and Jewish asks a question: Given Obamas hostile treatment of Israel, isnt it time for Jews to have their Ronald Reagan moment?
By that, he means when the Gipper said, I didnt leave the Democratic Party. The party left me.
Without doubt, the party under Barack Obama has left those Jews who view Israels security as threatened.
Obama recently told a New York Times interviewer, Because Israel is so capable militarily, I dont worry about Israels survival.

Maybe they’re finally waking up to the fact that the existential threat comes from the left, not the right.
Uh ... OK.
LOL.
I’ll put this in the “I’ll believe it when I see it file.” Obama could march around in a Nazi uniform and most Jews would still vote for him, as the Democrat.
Maybe, but I know some who, despite being very religious, are still liberals first and foremost. They will never switch, no matter how disgraceful Obama is toward Israel.
naaaa. Democrat Jews will never change.
Obama can’t help himself. He and Jarrett are as anti-semitic as any Muslim anywhere. Their problem is trying to conceal it.
These kind of stories pop up weekly, and have for a generation or two.
Secular Jews might abandon a Carter or Obama, but not the Democrat Party.
“Obama is driving Jews from Democratic party”
He might have driven them from the party as far as large donations go, but they’ll still vote for the candidates. The ones I know are flat-out-socialists, even though they’re comparatively wealthy. (Oh, they cheat on their taxes, pay cash for discounts, and in Israel will tell you about how to game the health service for better treatment.)
Look up the word sinister.
I'm from Brooklyn, NY and I lived in Newton, MA for 22 years.
I find this very hard to believe.
Obama got his buds in the DNC to write proclamations disavowing Jerusalem and God at the 2012 convention. Essentially, cursing Israel.
What else do they really need in order to see the truth?
I’m afraid you’re right.
What does it take and how much effort along with how much of a dose of reality does it take to move a Jew away from those that hate him?
What are Jews doing in that party anyway? OK, let's suppose the Dems had a “normal” candidate, just once, (pure fiction but stay with me here, folks), I can UNDERSTAND a little bit, why they'd vote for him/her BUT...and this is a big but, why would any Jew in his right mind vote for Obama, not just once, but TWICE??
I can only scratch my head and refer to the book by Maimonides, “A Guide for the Perplexed”...
“Secular Jews might abandon a Carter or Obama, but not the Democrat Party.”

Despite their wealth and intelligence, Jews are still victims of “The Peter Principle”.
Even if the anti-Israel stance of American leftists rankled American Jews enough for them to contemplating jumping the Demonrat Party (and it doesn’t for most), their own leftist proclivities on a whole range of other issues would persuade most of them to step away from a Ronald Reagan moment.
Obama could be at the controls of the train taking them to the camps and they’d still support him.
Democrats have become the party of dependent women, angry blacks, white liberal elites (whose power is propped up by the dependent ones) and criminals, union leaders and anti-semites ....
It might be time for a lot of people who are still in the Democrat party to question if the party has left them...
If given the chance, he would drive them into the ovens.
Oh, sure. A black demorat could have a Swastika arm band on and he’d get 70% of the U.S. Jews to vote for him.
