No school for most schools here in MA until September 3.

Back in the dark ages when I was in school we always started the day after Labor Day. Where I live now, Anchorage, Alaska, school starts August 20th, a week earlier than last year.
Then the State Fair starts on the 21st and runs thru Sept 1st.
Strange timing.
