The bio said he started his career with the St. Louis PD back in '96, but was promoted to Sgt. in 2007. The papers could be quoting the number of years he's had as a Sgt., not his whole career. I'm wondering though, isn't the Darren Wilson named by the Police Chief supposed to work for the Ferguson PD? Is the Ferguson PD a separate department from the St. Louis PD? Or are they all connected? Is this the right guy?
It appears, though I might be mistaken, that three different Darren Wilsons have been referenced on this thread.
There’s a (black) Darren Wilson who’s a member of the Saint Louis County cops and the leader of a black cop group.
There’s a (black) Darren Wilson who is an SC cop.
And there’s a (white) Darren Wilson in the Ferguson PD who is the shooter in this case.
