Christie touts conservative chops in Alabama

There are certain biases all over the country, right? We have certain predispositions and pre-conceived notions about folks, but as I get to know the folks in Alabama better over time, I think they'll understand that I'm a pretty conservative guy and have a record in New Jersey that is conservative," he said.

While Christie has traveled to Tennessee and Florida for RGA duties, Wednesday marks his first big swing in what many consider the Deep South. Later in the day he crosses the border into Mississippi to campaign for Gov. Phil Bryant in Biloxi.

To highlight his social conservative bona fides, Christie pointed to his anti-abortion record, noting that he's the first "pro-life governor" elected in New Jersey since the 1973 Supreme Court decision legalizing abortion. He also mentioned that he has vetoed Planned Parenthood funding five times since becoming governor.

The sad thing is that he thinks he is a Conservative and some voters will believe him as well.

Those gun loving Southerners should ask the very conservative Governor Christie about Shaneen Allen, a mother of two young children who faces 3 - 10 years in a New Jersey prison for making the honest mistake of crossing the border with a hangun she was licensed to carry in Pennsylvania. Christie could make this case disappear by granting clemency to Ms. Allen, but he chooses not to.

Chrissy Christy is just as bad as Bloomberg in meddling in other states election. He sponsored an attack ad against Tom Tancredo in Colorado election for Governor. The add accused tom of being for legalizing heron, and all drugs. He has tainted a Colorado election with east coast corruption. Keep your over sized frame and hamass out of Colorado.

The self-proclaimed “very conservative” Christie is very much aligned with the former “Republican” (and former Democrat) Bloomberg. True conservatives in AL need to be taking out ads showing how Christie aligns very much with the left on key issues, gun control being very key in AL.

Christie annoys me after about 2 seconds . . . clueless liar. We have our share of redneck idiots, but folks in AL pick up on BS pretty quickly, and Christie is a quarter-ton of complete BS.

Christie gave his opinion about Chris McDaniel and said that McDaniel has and is hurting the party in Mississippi. Sure, I am going to take Christie the RINO from NJ’s advice. Whether or not I agree with McDaniel I think Christie should STFU when it comes to Mississippi as he has little in common with us, especially after he performed fellatio upon Obama.

Hey look, I'm not going to tell anybody here that Chris Christie is conservative.

BUT as a Jersey gun owner, I can tell you that he vetoed two very awful anti-gun bills.

One in the summer of 2013 would've changed NJ's permit procedure for long guns and handguns, making an arduous policy much worse.

Another, in July 2014, would have reduced magazine and clip sizes from 15 to max of 10, outlawing many firearms such as .22 rifles with fixed tube feeds.

I'm not supporting the guy for President, but for a guy governing a rough Blue State like NJ, Chris Christie has had his moments. It took a lot for Christie to veto those bills--not to mention the frenzied actions of NJ gun groups like ANJRPC, the NJ NRA affiliate.

He deserves some level of acknowledgement by conservatives for those actions.
