I had a cop hanging out at a firestation hold the emergency signal red for over 10 full minutes on me with his MIRT device ,,, when I finally honked my horn and pulled through the “stuck” red light (no traffic in any direction) he pulled me over ... bastard was manufacturing tickets... happens all the time to us that aren’t in the blue gang.

Hmmm.... That sounds like a ticket I got in 1976. Turning left in the middle of the night. Having a nice time listening to the radio, in no hurry. So, I sat for at least 10 minutes. Obviously, the light wasn't going to turn green, so I went. WHOOP-WHOOP! The cop swore in court that I just pulled up and ran through. I was 18. If it was today, I'd have told the judge she was a lying perjurer. Instead, I just shook my head and paid the $25. The judge knew she was lying.
