I married into a large Hispanic family, conservative on social values, but always voted Democrat. When we would have conversations on current issues, I never strayed from my conservatism, and I was respectful in the way I disagreed with them. It took about 10 years, but they all eventually became registered Republicans.
The moral of the story is stand by your principles unapologetically. The average person is a follower that wants to be led in the right direction.
I am curious: why did a conservative family take so long to start voting conservative?
Well done, BTW. On the face of it, Hispanics SHOULD vote against Democrats. I’m glad your family does.
