Of course they do. Obama has framed it as protecting desperate Iraqi civilians threatened with annihilation and ensuring the safety of US personnel at our consulate in Irbil.

It will be interesting to see the support for these operations continue for months. And why is no one asking why our people in Irbil have not been evacuated out of the country? In the meantime our military presence in Iraq has grown to over 700 advisors not counting the force protection for our diplomatic missions.
