U.S.-Israeli relations sink to new low. President Barack Obama and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had a “particularly combative” phone call Wednesday over efforts to secure a lasting peace in Gaza, a sign that relations between the two countries have fallen to a new low, according to a Wall Street Journal report from Jerusalem.
White House officials are said to think Netanyahu and his national-security team are both reckless and untrustworthy.
The U.S. administration was caught off guard when it learned the Israeli military had been quietly securing tank rounds from the Pentagon during the Gaza conflict.

The president had to support the sale and the president (through the State Department) notifies congress of the sale AND has to assure congress of the political-military justifications.
If the sale took place before the Zero took over then the program was already in place and EVERYONE already knew about it.
This faux outrage by the president is just that: FAKE.
The Zero knew what was going on and, as expected, blaming someone else rather than accept responsibility. . .like blaming the military. Coward.
If anything, IF he was unaware means he is more clueless than everyone thought and completely out of touch.
In 1973 during the Yom Kippur war, Nixon comprehensively resupplied Israel by air and even moved the 6th Fleet into a bellicose position when the Russians threatened to intervene on behalf of the Arab armies. Can anyone imagine Obama behaving in a similar manner today? Yet Obama’s policies are not happening in a political vacuum. Changing demographics and an ignorance of history have made his actions, election and reelection possible. Israel is facing a changing world and serious challenges.
The Pentagon is part of the executive branch. So, is this another case of the Administration having no idea of what the administration is doing?
If Israel wants to invade to force a regime change, they’ll be seen as liberators by a lot of us.
