The Obama administration announced yesterday that they are informing 310,000 Obamacare enrollees that unless they can offer proof of citizenship before September 5, they will lose their insurance.
The problem: Because of the administration's incompetence, the healthcare.gov website - still not finished - can't determine whether an enrollee is a citizen or not.
From Wall Street Journal:
"The Obama administration moved Tuesday to cut off health insurance for up to 310,000 people who signed up through the HealthCare.gov system unless they can provide documents in the next few weeks showing they are U.S. citizens or legal residents.
Those individuals have until Sept. 5 to send in additional information that could confirm they are in the U.S. legally, a condition of using the online insurance exchanges to obtain coverage.
Officials at the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, which administers the 2010 Affordable Care Act, said they would tell insurers to terminate health policies for people who don't respond, starting Sept. 30.
CMS and its contractors are still trying to dig out from technological flaws with HealthCare.gov. Millions of users had difficulties using the site to shop for insurance when it launched last fall, but deeper problems remain within the system, including the ability to use databases held by various federal agencies to check people's eligibility for coverage.

People I know who know people in the know say the backend systems of these exchanges aren’t anywhere remotely near anywhere even kind of close to being to cross-check immigration status data.

Check every Hispanic surname in CA, TX and AZ. There will many more than 300,000 illegals unrolled, particularly since it was advertised in CA as not being limited to citizens in order to get to the magic 7 million enrollees Obama wanted.

So what if they get dropped. All they have to do is visit any hospital and its free anyway.
And they know it.
Here’s the thing.
The 300,000 are probably all U.S. Citizens. Probably white Christian families.
It’s the other 6.7 million that they aren’t checking who are probably non citizens.
It’s like when I renewed my Driver’s License. I had to provide proof I was a US Citizen, even though I had been a ‘licensed’ US Citizen since I was 16 years old.
Here’s the funniest part. I had to go downtown to get a copy of my BC from the State(to prove I was a US citizen).
They asked me to provide ID, and they accepted as ID my old Driver’s License. The girl at the counter, when I questioned this, said, “yeah, it’s funny isn’t it?”.
I said, “no, it’s not”.
I’m shocked the number is so low.
With executive amnesty, they will not have to worry about it anymore. All the illegals then will be told to sign up for Obamacare (With the vast majority qualifying for Medicaid).
I guess government issued citizenship id is in the works here. We already have that, its called a passport. But then that would disenfranchise the minority because we all know ...ahh bugger maybe we all don’t.
Maybe through executive order Clown Prince nobama will give nobamacare to everyone in the world. To not do so is mean-spirited. If he doesn’t, Clown Prince nobama should be investigated by the UN for crimes against humanity.
