The Justice Department has launched a federal investigation into the fatal police shooting of an unarmed black teenager in a St. Louis suburb over the weekend, Attorney General Eric Holder announced Monday.
The DOJ’s Civil Rights Division will participate in the probe, along with FBI agents from the St. Louis field office and the U.S. Attorney's Office, Holder said.

Lesson to BOTH black kids AND white kids: don’t try to attack a police officer and attempt to take his side arm unless you’re ABSOLUTELY sure you’ll succeed. Better yet, NEVER attack ANY police officers or civilians.
I’m waiting for the reports to come out since I haven’t seen anything on this situation beyond hearsay.
I believe the local authorities requested DOJ and FBI assistance. I guess that if the cop comes out being innocent on this they want to be able to blame the feds.

If he was black we would have heard about it long before now.
An alleged witness posted a twitter note saying that cop was white.
IIRC, the name of the officer is supposed to be released on Wednesday.
Or if you're a black kid bring a dog with you. Give the police something else to shoot.

I live right across the river from Ferguson. Fortunately, the demographics here in East Alton are such that any sign of looting and Sharpton would bring out an opposite reaction to what is happening in Saint Louis county..
Holder really telegraphed his ISSUES....with this near immediate “action”
why not wait say another day or two...
it’s a conditioning action that the racist DOJ has been practicing to send a message to all LE - Fed, State and Local.
