St. Louis Post Dispatch reporter Elisa Crouch is reporting that the Mike brown records are from a different birthday thane the deceased...

Who cares what the truth looks like? The rioters and pimps are going to use their own story. Just like the Trayvon case.
“The thing I want to know about this story is why the policeman would bother stopping two kids walking home just because they were walking in the street rather the sidewalk?”
I live in a relatively busy neighborhood yet teenagers walk in the middle of the street when there are sidewalks on both sides of the street. Is this simply defiance? Idiocy? I do not know.
However, it could be that the officer was concerned for their well-being and not getting run over by a vehicle?
“An unarmed person (35 feet away) CAN STILL POSE A THREAT!!!”
BS...
If the cops are correct Brown had just fired off a round and tried to kill a cop. Brown then became a felon and fled. Shooting a fleeing felon is not illegal.
I have to question the witness. If the officer opened fire on Brown as claimed, how come he didn't shoot the witness too? He claims he was hiding behind the car, and if so, why didn't the officer just blow him away too, to eliminate any witnesses?
Brown was a big guy, and one cop would have had a very difficult time restraining or gaining control over him. Having first-hand knowledge of taking down belligerent convicts of all sizes, it wasn't uncommon for 3-4 officers being necessary to gain control of the individual's extremities. And even then, the struggle could move several feet away from where it had originally started.
In some states that's true, but many have overturned such statutes and replaced them with "imminent threat" statutes.
Where the statute has not been changed it is nearly universally over-ridden by official policy.
And there's still reasonable question as to whether the punk actually attacked the officer. Witnesses seem to agree he did not.
“Witnesses seem to agree he did not.”
LIV Witnesses seem to agree he did not. I fixed it for you.
I’m with you. Sidewalks are for walking. Roads/streets are for moving vehicles. If they’d stick to the curb area it wouldn’t be so bad, but most of them walk far enough out into the lane so that you’ll have to drive around them. I refuse to move, beep my horn, and make them move over.
Their credibility will be subject to scrutiny at trial.
From the CNN article:
“investigation showed that the Ferguson officer tried to exit his vehicle,, but Brown pushed him back into the car, “where he physically assaulted the police officer” and struggled over the officer’s weapon, Belmar said.
A shot was fired inside the police car, and Brown was eventually shot about 35 feet away from the vehicle, Belmar said.”
So, this isn’t rocket science. Is there a bullet or bullet hole in the police car?
Not possible - his mom said he was a “gentle giant”.
Both of the accounts given seem ridiculous. I would think that, before any trained police officer used his weapon, the fact that his life might be ruined would occur to him/her.
Not many hunters on this thread. You can get a good shot on a deer and it will travel quite a distance before it falls. So that 30 to 35 feet doesn’t mean all that much if he was moving.
The city of Fort Worth has taken to putting body cameras on their uniformed officers because of such instances. Thanks to all that gas and oil royalties.
What the police chief is judiciously evading is where all the rest of the 8 bullets were fired --
And that he would know by the location of the brass which was between the front door of the car and the body 35 feet away.
He is awfully quiet about that --
The cops aren't saying much about their version of events yet.
Of course, arrest records have been leaked.

The police chief admits that a shot was fired from the front seat of the car — one shot — but no one was hit by that shot.
So explain the body with 7+ bullets in it 35 feet away.
First I’ve heard of cell phone video. Source?
