CNN's Don Lemon gives these five pieces of advice to the black community:
1) Pull up your pants.
2) Stop using the n-word
3) Stop littering.
4) Finish school.
5) Don't have babies out of wedlock.

Listed in reverse order of importance.......IMHO........
Add the same advice the white community needs - get back to church!
Damn good advice. Whites should follow it too.
Well, if any of us said these things, we would be called racist.
A black man can make these comments, and nobody can say he is a racist.
I wish this message would gain traction in the black community.
It’s now 50 years since the passage of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. How many of the serious problems of black America are due to racism or due to blacks not having equal rights under the law?
And how many of the problems of the black community are self inflicted, due to poor life choices made by people in that community?????
He is using the "build-up" method: start with least important and then BUILD UP to the most important.
It's a TRIED & TRUE method of public discourse.
“Oreo”
Good advice for ALL.
It's not new either.
We had a state school superintendent, WAY BACK WHEN some 40 years ago, a black woman, who said that the CORRECT order is as follows.
Get an education.
Get a job.
Get married.
THEN have children.
She would be crucified for saying that today
.... and for God’s sake, cultivate some impulse control.
A black man can make these comments, and nobody can say he is a racist.
He can say it but then he is labeled an Uncle Tom or a sellout.
1) Pull up your pants.
2) Stop using the n-word
3) Stop littering.
4) Finish school.
5) Don't have babies out of wedlock.
6) Stop holding your brothers back.
Anyone who holds you back in life is not your friend. They are the crabs in the bucket trying to keep someone else from getting ahead in life. "What? Are you trying to be white?" And this doesn't just happen in the black community, it happens among white kids too "what, are you come kind of a nerd? You think you are a 'prep'?"
They don't want to see you move on and do better in life.
America is/was a land of opportunity.
Black parents who instruct their children that no white person will ever accept them, respect them, etc. propagate racism and a defeatist attitude.
Didn’t Bill Cosby say the same thing 20 years ago?
Recall that Jesse Jackass said “I’d like to cut his nuts off” when Barack Obama said that black men need to step up to responsibility for their children.
If the black population wants to be respected as a whole they need to get rid of the n*gg* thug culture. There are so many of them that are good people; many of them don’t like that part of their culture either.
Cue Bo Snerdly for being certified black enough to say these things, too!
It’s news because the DNC and MSM want to hold black people back.
Recall that President Clinton tried to get “ebonincs” established as an acceptable variant of English.
No one would HIRE a person who had been deliberately dumbed down in his/her communication skills (it would reflect poorly on the company and staff) but it would create a new round of entitlements, set asides, and hurdles.
The DNC needs people dependent and the MSM is the propaganda arm of the DNC.
CNN ANCHOR DON LEMON: 'I UNDERSTAND' ST. LOUIS RIOTING, LOOTING
Not necessarily.
In part the order is in terms of ease of achievement and of education. Start dressing well and one may end up behaving well.
Practice of virtue creates virtue. That’s why the practice of prayer - and in many religions, the use of rituals and customs - reinforces faith.
